Episode 44: Kickstarters and Indies We’re Looking Forward to Playing

Posted on May 15, 2015

Join El Blanco and me, Doomy, as we talk about what Kickstarters and Indies we’re looking forward to playing.

Elsinore
Project Website: Kickstarter

What it is:
Elsinore is a time-looping narrative adventure game set in the world of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.

Why we can’t wait to play it:
Elsinore reminds us of another story driven point and click adventure called Broken Sword, which by the way is an amazing classic every point and click fan should own.

Night Terror
Project Website: IndieGoGo

What it is:
It’s a highly immersive, photorealistic, binaural, augmented reality survival horror game for mobile devices. Gameplay takes place at home, after dark, with the lights off and your headphones on.

Why we can’t wait to play it:
A really cool idea for a mobile game that we’d actually play. And because Konami killed off what was going to be the next great horror game of this generation – this is the next best thing!

Starfighter, Inc.
Project Website: Kickstarter

What it is:
A hardcore team-based PvP multiplayer space shooter in the vein of X-Wing vs. Tie-Fighter.

Why we can’t wait to play it:
Because we loved X-Wing and Tie-Fighter!

Yooka-Laylee
Project Website: Kickstarter

What it is:
Yooka-Laylee is an all-new 3D platformer from the creative talent behind the Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country games. We’ve come together to form Playtonic Games and create a spiritual successor to our most cherished work from the past!

Why we can’t wait to play it:
There just isn’t enough platformers around these days for Blanco to get his dirty paws on.
