Episode 92: How Trump’s Import Tariff Could Impact Gamers

Posted on January 27, 2017

Here at Humble Bazooka we try not to get involved with debates on Politics and Religion. We feel that everyone should be free to practice whatever religion and/or vote for whoever they want. There are times, however, that politics or even religion impacts the Video Game industry in which case we do like to discuss the subject. Case and point, The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is said to be preparing for a Trump ordered import tariff tax of as much as 5-10% on businesses that don’t manufacture their products within the United States. To put it bluntly, all three of the major video game console makers manufacture their boxes overseas – yes, including Microsoft’s Xbox One. You can imagine that we’d have some things to say about this topic.

On a happier note – joining us this week, and as a regular co-host, The Pest!
